I returned to the Pearl Shoal Falls for several days before capturing this image on an azure blue sky day. This photo of Pearl Shoal Falls in Jiu Zhai Gou showcases the “The Four Seasons – the red and yellow foliage of autumn, snow-capped mountains of winter, evergreen pines of spring and cooling waters of summer.”

A Toque Macaque looking high and mighty on the Dambulla rock. This species is endemic and can only be found in Sri Lanka. They are widely spread throughout Sri Lanka and commonly seen hanging around ancient temples. As a result they are often nicknamed “temple monkeys”.
The ray of light adds to the magical feeling of the Shuzheng lake and waterfalls. The green forests surround nineteen lakes of different sizes and levels. The lake water in the upper reaches flows slowly along the shoal and is divided into countless streams by the groves in the lake. Then the streams join on the top of Shuzheng Waterfall and suddenly drop down to the lower lakes.
It was a gorgeous (and sweltering hot) blue sky day out on the Kinabatangan River. The white cotton-candy clouds were beautifully reflected off the river surface, creating a picturesque scenery of Borneo.
