ON ASSIGNMENT FOR SINGAPORE WILDLIFE RESERVE Hailing from Costa Rica, the females and youngs of the Black Howler Monkeys are orange in color. The fur color of young males turns darker as they mature. Howler monkeys are widely considered to be the loudest land animal. According to Guinness Book of World Records, their vocalizations can be heard clearly for 3 mi (4.8 km).
