What could be cuter than having not 1 but 4 young orangutans in a wheelbarrow! 😀 The young ones have just finished Forest School for the day and care-takers are rounding them up to their night cages. Apparently, they don’t look all too happy with this arrangement 😛 About BOSF Nyaru Menteng Sanctuary The BOS Foundation has rescued over 1000 orangutans in Central Kalimantan and currently care for and support over 600 orangutans at Nyaru Menteng. Hercules, (age 25 and weighs a staggering 95kg) was released to Orangutan Island in 2007, but was brought back to Nyaru Mentang in 2009 due to his old age. He can’t climb on the flooded island during the wet season and has become blind in one eye. UPDATE Year 2013 Hercules, with his physical shortcomings, now has received the chance to be out of his enclosure and join the free life with his friends on the protected semi-wild island.
