A little baby Orangutan hiding behind her mother on the protected semi-wild island taken care of by BOSF. The mother orangutan is an orphan who when through the rehabilitation program at BOSF Nyaru Menteng. Now she is free on the island and has her own baby to love. About BOSF Nyaru Menteng Sanctuary The BOS Foundation has rescued over 1000 orangutans in Central Kalimantan and currently care for and support over 600 orangutans at Nyaru Menteng. The main activities of Nyaru Menteng Orangutan Rehabilitation and Reintroduction Center is quarantine activity, rehabilitate and release. More info at BOSF website.

After a day of play-fighting, there’s only one natural response from the tired panda cubs… Cuddly sleep…. Makes everyone goes… “awww….” Wolong Nature Reserve, Sichuan, China This was taken 2 years before the devastating Sichuan 2008 Earthquake. Of the 63 Giant Pandas at Wolong that fateful day, Mao Mao was lost forever, Xiao Xiao is still missing, and Zhu Hai died from illness following the earthquake.
