BORNEO WILDLIFE SUPERCHARGED WITH NIKON D500 BY C.S.LING Crested-Serpent Eagle shaking its feathers during a sunning and preening session. Sunning and preening can help the bird’s feathers dry more quickly so they can fly easier, without being weighed down by excess water. It also helps to maintain feather health by dislodging feather parasites. It is even believed that some birds sun themselves for pure enjoyment and relaxation, much the same way humans will sunbathe. 🙂 More info at Nikon D500 microsite.
