What a bright orange furball of cuteness overload! The Silve Langur (a.k.a Silver Leaf Monkey)’s baby has a striking orange color in comparison to its parents’ silver coats and will continue to stand out until its fur changes color somewhere between three to five months of age.

The natural maternal instinct of Simona shines in this photo, even though she herself is an orphan and never really knew her mother’s love. Both Pig-tailed Macaque youngsters were play-fighting on the trees and didn’t notice I was watching them for a long time from the river. Then the magical moment – when one of them noticed that my big lens has been watching them, the other peep over his playmate’s shoulder. The keen curiosity of these adorable macaque juveniles was captured. A 32″ x 24″ black-framed print of this photo was auctioned at ACRES 15th Anniversary in 2016, and raised $1,300 SGD for the animal rescue organisation .

(Sun was almost behind the trees at 5.30PM) Nikon D500’s new EXPEED 5 image-processing engine, as used in the D5, delivers standard ISO sensitivity from 100 to 51200, expandable down to Lo 1 (ISO 50 equivalent) and up to Hi 5 (ISO 1640000 equivalent).
